Business Development Representative – Enterprise Accounts Ingentis France | Permanent | Paris

About you

You’ve got hunter DNA. You know that in a large organisation, the person who owns the problem rarely has a job title you can search for. You like that hunt. You know how to get introduced sideways, how to navigate three or four stakeholders without losing the thread, and how to keep a deal moving. You don’t want a list handed to you. You want to build it yourself – find the account, dig into it, and figure out who actually feels the pain before anyone tells you. You’re ambitious – this isn’t a role you do for two years while waiting for the “real” job. You really have a knack for this essential part of the sales funnel. You already see the strategic part of the top of the funnel, and you know that qualifying a prospect goes beyond “they took a meeting” – you know how to go further.

This is the first Business Development Representative role for Ingentis France. There’s no worn-in playbook yet – which is exactly why the next section matters. Read on, and read the whole thing.

Studies show that women and people from underrepresented groups often only apply to a job if they meet 100% of the qualifications, whereas men apply when they meet around 60%. If you’re excited about this role but don’t meet every single requirement, we encourage you to apply anyway – you might be exactly who we’re looking for.

One word of caution

Prospecting is the job, not a phase you get through. Building lists, researching accounts, working the phone and outbound – full time. This mission never disappears once you’re up and running.

You’ll be given raw material and expected to help shape a better top-of-funnel strategy, not just execute someone else’s.

Your accounts are large and complex. Multiple stakeholders, long approval chains, and buyers who don’t always have an obvious budget line waiting for you.

Your mission is to build a disciplined, end-to-end way of selling, working with the MD and an Account Executive – not to hand over a meeting with a name and walk away.

But this isn’t a rev ops role. Your success is measured in revenue enabled, not in tools used.

You know how to use email but above all, you know how to use the phone. You don’t hide behind LinkedIn sequences and email cadences.

This can become an Account Executive role – but only for someone who proves they can carry a full cycle. It’s a genuine path, not an automatic promotion on a timer.

Still excited? Great. So are we.

Why this is worth it

You’ll be trained on the product during onboarding – no need to arrive as a domain expert. We’re after selling expertise and mindset. Not product expertise.

Regular industry events, on the floor, not behind an email sequence or LinkedIn InMail. Face time with prospects is part of the role, not an occasional perk.

Your ideas on top-of-funnel strategy get heard. This is a role with room to shape the process, not just run it.

A real, demonstrated path to Account Executive for whoever earns it.

You are not selling into a vacuum. A ten-year-plus SAP partnership, 800+ shared clients worldwide, and use cases you can put in front of a prospect on day one.

Your playing field is the CAC 40 and the SBF 120. Whilst not excluding the innovative French-speaking midcap (France + Benelux).

A profitable, PE-backed group – not a startup burning someone else’s money. No runway conversation, no funding cliff.

What success looks like

Month 3: You’ve set up the process from data research, enrichment all the way to first call. You have 15 prospects qualified that you handed over to the Account Executive.

Month 6: Your process is turning. It’s not perfect. But it’s there. And you created €1.8M of opportunities.

Month 12: You’ve built a €2.5M unweighted pipeline.

What you need to bring

Outbound experience you can point to – lists you built, sequences you ran, cold calls you made yourself. Not prospecting someone else did for you.

You excel at navigating large organisations – finding the person who owns the problem when their title doesn’t say so.

We’re not expecting full-cycle experience (a plus if you do). But you excel in early qualification.

Comfort operating without a finished playbook.

Fluent professional English. Non-negotiable. Whilst most of the role is in French, you will run calls in English, sit in a Global Sales Meeting in English, and work with European stakeholders. This one is a hard gate.
